The goal of this exercise was to level up my skills in Unreal Engine's Behaviour Tree system. This project was a deep dive into Unreal Engine's Behaviour Tree system, and the first project I made relying purely on Blueprints.
What I learned....
AI Behaviour is a tricky aspect to get right and I spent an entire week laser-focused on what makes a good enemy AI. This project evoked my passion for creating fun and engaging enemy AI, and I learned concepts such as weapon recoil and attack choreography. This was as much a dive into Game Design as it was into into Game Programming.
